Traci Matsumoto-Esteban, Chef

Traci was born born and raised in Southern California with her Japanese family who enjoys cooking and eating all cuisines. At the age of 15, she decided she wanted to be a cook, and in 2009, she started at The CIA in Napa. While living in Napa, she worked with chef Hiro Sone at Terra in St. Helena. Since moving to Oakland in 2014, she cooked at Camino before taking over The Kebabery kitchen.

 

Sarah Deck. General Manager

Sarah is the daughter of an organic farmer.  Her family has spent 14 generations farming ancestral land in Cape Cod. She spent many years involved with farmers markets, the perfect outlet for sharing her passion for organic produce.  Sarah got started in the food industry at farmers market pop ups in Davis.  She spent time Gaumenkitzel in Berkeley exploring her German roots, and then doing catering and First Friday pop ups for The Mixing Bowl.  Most recently she worked at Cycle Monkey, a specialty bike parts distributor.
